Financial Aid
- Complete a FAFSA by going to the following website: www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Request a PIN Number.
- Make sure that you choose the 2011-2012 school terms.
- Have information from 2010 Federal Income Tax Return Information.
- ApexSOT School Code is 035134.
- There are two forms of Financial Aid: (1) Pell Grant and (2) Grad- Student Loans.
- For those who are enrolling in the Master’s Program, you do not qualify for a Pell Grant, so you will have to apply for a loan. Go to following website: www.opennet.salliemae.com Apply for the Stafford Loan. On the Loan Application, there will be two types of loans (1) Subsidized Loan- the government pays interest while the student is in school and (2) Unsubsidized Loan- the individual pays the interest. *** It is recommended that the student take the Subsidized Loan.
ASOT (Apex School of Theology) distributes loans in September.
Book vouchers: if you want to purchase books with a book voucher, contact Mrs. Cotton-Brown and it comes out of the amount of money allotted for financial aid.
